Miguel Ángel García Ladrón De Guevara.
Bachelor
of Science in Biology (1984) at the Universidad Autónoma
Metropolitana, Mexico D.F. Master studies on Marine Ecology, and
Biotechnology, at the Centro de Investigación Científica
y Estudios Superiores [Scientific Investigation and Postgraduate
Studies Center] in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico (1986). Organizational
Management Master studies at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma
de México (1997). Specialize law studies on Industrial and
intellectual Property, at the Universidad Panamericana, México,
City (2003). Languages: Spanish, and English.
Mr.
García Ladrón de Guevara is the director partner of
the firm, and also heads the Technology and Patent area by coordinating
a work group formed by professionals graduated with PhD, and post-doctorate
studies awarded both in Mexico and abroad, in the fields of chemical
engineering, molecular biology, biotechnology, immunology, electronics,
and telecommunications. He also coordinates a highly specialized
group engaged in searching and investigating information in public
and on-line databases on these matters. He also is engaged in drafting
patents, complex litigations related to cancellation actions and
infringements, drafting expert opinions, answering to official letters
to defend patents and patent applications with the Mexican Institute
of Industrial Property. He promotes our services, and attends to
and participates in courses, seminars, and national and international
congresses related to industrial property matters.
He is a member of the "Centro para el Estudio y la Difusión
de la Propiedad Industrial" or CEDPI [Center to Study and Promote
Industrial Property]", member of the "Asociación
Mexicana para la Protección de la Propiedad Industrial"
or AMPPI [Mexican Association to Protect Industrial Property]; member
of the "Asociación de Ejecutivos en Transferencia de
Tecnología LES México, A.C. " [Association of
Executives in Technology Transfer LES Mexico] and active member
of the "American Intellectual Property Law Association"
(AIPLA). Currently is advisor on Industrial property of the Pharmaceutical
Manufacturer National Association of A.C. (ANAFAM).

Ariel Fuentes Carrasco, Esq.
Attorney-at-law
by the Universidad Tecnológica de México [Technological
University of Mexico], specialized in the field of Intellectual
Property. He made postgraduate studies of the Associate Course titled
"The Industrial Property System in Mexico: its application
in academic and business fields", by the National Autonomous
University of Mexico and the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property.
Currently studing the speciality in Industrial and intelectual Property,
in the Universidad Panamericana (México, City). Likewise,
he has attended different courses related to Intellectual Property
matters, such as: "Mediation and Arbitrage in Industrial Property
Matters", "Amendments to the Federal Code of Civil Procedure",
and "Domain Names and their Regulation within Mexican Legislation",
amongst others.
Lecturer
in Intellectual Property matters at the Technological University
of Mexico; he has rendered his services as officer in different
public and private entities, such as the National Copyrights Institute,
the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, the private firm Clarke,
Modet & Cía., in Mexico, and the California Commerce
Bank, amongst others.
He
currently provides off-counsel services to prevent unfair competition,
including protection of patents, trademarks, and other concepts
of Intellectual Property rights to private companies. He is a professor
of Corporate Law, Foreign Trade, and Foreign Investment at the Technological
University of Mexico.
