Legal Area.

Lic. Arturo Porras Contreras

Attorney-at-law by the Universidad Tecnologica de Mexico, with 9 years of experience, specialized in fiscal and administrative areas, holding in the corporate department of several law firms directed to the litigation, consultancy and planning in federal/local administrative and fiscal matter taking different courses such as tax reforms (1999 and 2000) provided by the Attorneys-at- Law Mexican Bar, Seminar of Updating in Tax Reforms (2004) in Universidad Panamericana, course of Updating in Tax Reforms (2006) in Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico as well as the Forum of Fiscal Novelties (2007) provided by the Institute of Administrative Justice of Federal Court in matter of Fiscal and Administrative Justice, among others.

Currently, his working experience is directed to the consultancy to private entities in prevention of unfair competition, including the protection of patens, trademarks and other areas within the Intellectual and Industrial Property field.

Also, he is studying the General Course of Intellectual Property provided by online education at WIPO.

Lic. Natalia Varea Escolá.

Attorney-at-Law by Jurisprudencia y Humanidades School of Puebla. In the labor area, worked in the criminal seventh court of Social Rehabilitation Center in the State of Puebla as well as in the Homicide Investigation Department at the Attorney’s General Office. Also, she worked as legal consultant in the company “Licenciados de Mexico” Lidmex A.C.

She has taken several courses concerning to the updating in Laws and Procedures in Criminal and Administrative matters. Currently, she is studying the General Course of Intellectual Property provided by online education at WIPO.

As of she joined the firm, she has specialized in the field of Intellectual and Industrial Property concerning the prosecution and registration of trademarks as well as copyrights.

Technical Area

 

Verónica García Herrera, M.Sc.

Master of Science in Molecular Biomedicine, accredited by the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del IPN (CINVESTAV) (2001). Pharmaceutical Chemistry Degree with Honors from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) (1999). She also has a Specialty in Industrial and Intellectual Property Law from the Universidad Panamericana (2005).

Prior to joining to this firm, her professional experience had been focused on basic research in pharmacology, molecular biology and immunology. Since her incorporation into the firm, she has been specializing in Intellectual Property issues and has been working on patent matters including searching specialized technical information, drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications, preparing technical opinions regarding patent validity and providing advice on litigation. Currently, she coordinates the Technical Patent Department.

She is a member of the “American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and of the Asociación Mexicana para la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual (AMPPI).

QFB. Sara Marlén Ugalde Matehuala.

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry accredited by the Faculty of Chemistry of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
She developed professionally in Pharmaceutical Industry in Medicine Development Area preparing new formulations and the Sanitary Dossier. In Quality Assurance Area coordinating the correct use and distribution of documentation about Good Manufacturing Practices and reviewing the packaging material.

Nowadays her work is focused in making technical-legal opinions and searching technical information in national and international data bases.

Paralegal Area.

Angélica Guadalupe Domínguez Cabello

Studied Business Administration, experienced in the Industrial Property field since July 1998 in the area of filing, prosecution and granting of Patent application in Mexico and abroad.

In the labor field, she worked in the Intellectual law firms Clarke, Modet y Compañía de México, S.A. and Uhthoff, Gomez Vega & Uhthoff, S.C. in the area of prosecution of domestic and foreign patents.

She has taken several courses related to Patents given by WIPO and IMPI.

She is currently engaged in the Patent area related to filing, prosecution, granting and maintenance of Patents in Mexico and abroad.

Accounting and Administration.


José Luis Romero Acosta, P. A.

General Accountant.- Head of the Administration and Accounting Department. Graduated from the National School of Technical and Professional Education, with an associate course in Tax and Labor Matters in Salaries and Wages by the Institute for the Specialization of Executives. He had the position of Treasurer and Payroll Coordinator of the firm Arochi, Marroquín & Lindner, S.C., from August 1997 to June 2002. In the firm, he is currently engaged in the area of general accounting, tax and labor issues, and he coordinates the administration.
